Our Story
Shalom Eye Care was born out of a passion for Total Patient Eye Care. Eye Care provides a warm and friendly environment where you are heard and listened to in order to serve you best thereby improving your quality of life and giving you peace of mind! Our goal is to create an all-inclusive optometric practice that embraces all age groups and individuals in the community. We provide an atmosphere for all your vision needs to be met at our practice. Our Team
Amy Ima
Lead Optometrist
Dr. Amarachi(Amy) Ima obtained her Optometry degree (O.D) from the Abia State University, Uturu in Nigeria. Shortly after her induction as a doctor of Optometry, she moved to Canada. She went to the University of Waterloo and completed her International Optometry Bridging Program (IOBP) where she graduated and received the Best Clinician award in her class.
Dr. Amy Ima proceeded to take her Canadian Boards. She is currently a Licensed Optometrist with the College of Optometrist of Ontario. She derives so much joy in caring for her patients and seeing their quality of life improve while meeting their visual/ocular demands. Dr. Amy Ima has been in practice in Canada for over 9years. She worked with Sears Optical with the Luxottica group for about 6years. When Sears closed, she went on to work with Vision Centers such as Walmart and Loblaws while desiring and working hard at opening her practice so all her patients records can be in one place and duly cared for especially when medical intervention(referral) is needed.
Dr. Amy Ima has great experience in diagnosing and properly managing different eye diseases or referring them out. She detects some eye concerns by observing patients most of the time. She is usually thorough in her eye exam where she also recommended natural home therapy and nutrition to improve overall visual & ocular health.
She is married to her husband Sam Ima and they have 5 lovely children. In her leisure, she enjoys reading books, taking walks, and spending time with her family and friends
Angelita Stewart
Optician
Angelita(Angie) Stewart is our Licensed Optician registered with the College of Opticians of Ontario (C.O.O). She completed her Opticianry diploma at Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology in 2019.
She has over 4 years of experience working in various Optometric Clinics, Optical labs, and retail stores. Angie also has experience fitting soft and RGP contact lenses. She has a passion for helping patients find the best eyewear that suits their lifestyle, facial shape, and prescription!
In her free time, Angie loves to hike, travel, explore new restaurants and spend time with her family and friends.
Victory Adeosun
Medical Administrator
Victory Adeosun is our Medical Administrator. She lived in Guelph, Ontario for over 10 years and recently moved to Kitchener. She has over 3 years experience of working as a Medical Admin. She began working in family practices, to now working with Optometrists. Although Victory is working as a Medical Administrator, she is currently a student at Wilfred Laurier University, Brantford, studying Social Work & Law. In addition to her medical office experience, she has experience working in, Customer Service and Community Development projects.
She's people-oriented and loves serving people with her great Customer Service skill! In her spare time, she enjoys spending time watching movies on Netflix, dancing, and Acting.
